  1. OSF T-Shirt Design – class of 2014

June 30, 2014 by The Crafty Concubine

I’ve had the recent pleasure of doing some work with the Oasis Skateboard Factory here in Toronto…a Toronto District School Board alternative school design program, where students earn high school credits by creating their own brand and running a skateboard business / professional design studio!Rad concept that I support 100%.
I was honored to be asked to design their graduation tees for the class of 2014…

  5. Stickers/Magnets

November 16, 2013 by The Crafty Concubine

Have been doing alot of OOAK stickers lately and ended up sending some to the Ingen Art Gallery in Kentucky for an art show they are doing on November 30, featuring street art and “slaps” artists from all over. While I was doing the stickers, I thought I’d make a bunch of fun magnet sets for the Toronto Indie Arts Market on Dec. 14th…OOAK gift ideas! These are all done with a combination of Copic Markers (<3), Sharpies and Microns. [gallery order="DESC" columns="5"]

  7. Introducing…Amaratiis

November 3, 2013 by The Crafty Concubine

After many years in the Comic/Zine/Small Press fair circuit, I realized that the work I had been doing under “The Crafty Concubine” had sort of built itself a style, or niche…colorful, innocent yet often offensive at the same time, mostly focusing on zines, illustration, activity/coloring books, paper craft and of course the infamous hand embroidered patches filled with satanic imagery and automatic weapons.

I now have styles and mediums in my artwork that no longer really fit what I feel TCC is…so Im in the process of starting a new line of Gore/Horror/Occult based art, t’s and accessories to contrast with the bright playful sarcasm of The Crafty Concubine.

    Introducing…Amaratiss (Am-a-rat-iss)
A name comprised of multiple pen names I used to use.

Here are some looks into whats been started…

  8. Sticker Slaps

November 3, 2013 by The Crafty Concubine

I find I always have a number of projects on the go and the majority of my larger pieces lately take hours and hours of fine Micron detailing to finish…I LOVE the finished products as Im a sucker for detail, but sometimes I wanna see the fruits of my labors come to life immediately. This is why Ive started busting out a number of fun “slap up” street art style stickers done in Sharpies for those moments of impatience. haha…
